With SafeGrid Earthing Software you can model conductors (segments) in 3D and you can modify their properties including making any segments to be insulated (coated).
One particular application is to add rods but to insulate the top section of the rods (the theory of this is to minimize the transfer voltage caused by the rods).
The video below shows how to implement this using the Build Grid module in SafeGrid. You can also achieve the same by importing segments via a 3D AutoCAD file.
